How you use the spray paint depends on what you want to do with it. First of all I recommend getting a water based spray paint so that there is no issue with fumes. I think there are at least 2 out there at this time. You might want to practice a few sprays onto paper or something to get used to pressing the nozzle down before you spray on anything. Remember to spray paint outdoors whenever possible so that you have proper ventilation. Also remember to shake your can first until you can hear the little ball inside the can moving around freely. Continue to shake the can as you work now and then so the paint will come out evenly. It's good to keep the cans a bit warm if possible to avoid paint spattering. When you are finished with a color, you can spray it upside down a little bit. This will clean the cap out and stop it from clogging. Also it's good to have lots of extra caps around to replace any clogged caps.

Yeah thanks for the advise, I've been toying with using water based model paints in my airbrush, then finish with a Matt clear varnish to project.

Head down to Halfords, get some of their Camo paint - its basically a flat matt spray can in a variety of colours eg FDE, green etc. Its basically krylon but easier to get, and a bit cheaper. Some people advise primer and a clear finish coat but I didnt use that as I wanted it to look worn in. Lots of pics on the net for inspiration but I went with the FDE base and then using netting (old laundry net) sprayed green lines over it to give a semi snake skin finish. Dont forget to block up the muzzle and magwell and have the dust cover up. Then repeat on your mags and other accessories eg the sight, so they match. I practiced on a pistol first and was happy with the results so moved onto the AEG.

Get the gun and dunk it in nail varnish remover, then when its still wet apply your coats make sure you cover 100 percent of the weapon in every colour, then leave it to dry for aproximately 1.5 seconds and swiftly chuck it in your microwave, a quick blast on full for 30 seconds and youll be left with something lat looks like its been painted by an sas soildier himself
ive tried this 100 percent works bro !

Noddy as yours is abs, I'd suggest a hot kiln after applying water based paints for that real 'super alley leet soldier' look...
